Lorena Patrucco, Registered Psychotherapist (q), E.C.E., M.A.

Lorena is truly passionate about helping individuals to improve their lives. She brings enthusiasm, warmth, and sensitivity to others’ needs into her counselling practice to successfully build therapeutic relationships with the clients she works with.Lorena holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Psychologist from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. Lorena has over 17 years working with children, youth, and families. She has worked in Child Care Centres as an ECE, Resource Consultant, Learning/Educational Centres, and Private Practice as well assessing individual needs in a sensitive and respectful manner.

She has worked with children and youth experiencing Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, severe problematic behaviour, learning disabilities, career uncertainty, anger management, self-esteem, and anxiety and mood disorder. Over the years in the field, Lorena has helped and supported children and teens with special needs and their families providing them with all the resources and programs necessary to achieve their goals.

Lorena is truly passionate to help others and her techniques include Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-focused therapy, Strength-Based Approach, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Psychodynamics therapy. Lorena speaks fluently English and Spanish, providing her services in both languages.

Lorena has been married for over 12 years and has twins, one girl and one boy. She enjoys nature walks, riding bikes, and camping in the summer with the family!

She is a dedicated and enthusiastic therapist on the Family Kinnections team.
