Alison Whitty, (She/Her)

Alison Whitty, (She/Her), MEd, R.P. (Qualifying)

Alison is a graduate of the University of Miami (FL) with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Exercise Physiology, and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. While completing her undergraduate studies, Alison was a student-athlete and captain for the Hurricanes Rowing team. Upon completion of her 4-year degree, Alison returned to Canada where she continued rowing and training with the Canadian National Rowing team until retiring in 2018.

Alison returned to the United States where she coached rowing at the University of Louisville and at the University of Iowa. While coaching at the University of Louisville, Alison completed a Master of Education in Counselling and Personnel Services. While both an athlete and coach, Alison knew the importance of mental health and its impacts on athletic performance and overall well-being. This led Alison to return to Canada to pursue further education at Yorkville University and follow her passion for supporting individuals to navigate and understand their life challenges, and stresses. Alison believes that through her unique educational journey and life experiences she is able to connect with clients’ individuality and create a collaborative space where all clients feel welcomed and respected.
