Nathalie Bouchard, She/Her, MSW, RSW
Welcome, my name is Nathalie Bouchard and I am a practicing Social Worker.
Throughout my life, I have always felt a call to help others discover their full potential and provide support when people need it most. I found my calling for Social Work after completing volunteer hours at a local distress line, where I discovered the negative impact of trauma, substance misuse, and adverse childhood experiences on the community at large. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Calgary to serve others in their struggle to unpack, move forward and digest their most challenging moments and find clarity in their lives.
After and during my degree, I have obtained further education in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solutions Focused Therapy. I am currently working towards my Certification in EMDR to provide a more intensive treatment option to my clients wishing to confront challenging memories and situations from their past lives.
I operate from a client-centred, trauma-informed, inclusive, and anti-oppressive framework which seeks to meet clients ‘where they’re at’ in terms of their healing and emotional journey. I am a lifelong learner who appreciates the diverse backgrounds and perspectives that each client brings to a session. I value a cooperative relationship where I can learn as much from my clients as they can from me. I honour that my clients are their own best experts, and I work with clients to uncover how their challenges have impacted how they see the world.
I want to inspire and create an atmosphere where you feel safe and secure to work towards being your best self and moving forward to a better and brighter future.
Lets talk.
