Sheena Erhardt, (She/Her), MSW, RSW

Sheena believes in a family centered, holistic approach to family counselling. She provides a positive, supportive, and respectful environment when working with children and families. Sheena values family dynamics and therapeutic relationships with her clients. 

Sheena has extensive experience working with children and youth who are in crisis, have various mental health issues, developmental disorders and/or behavioural concerns. Sheena has worked with children, adolescents and families struggling with various concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, trauma, and teenage pregnancy. She has worked with her clients using various techniques that include dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), collaborative problem solving, family systems, solution-focused, and strengths-based approaches.

Sheena received her bachelor’s degree in Child & Youth Studies from Brock University, a graduate degree from Niagara College in ECE-Resource-Teaching, and a master’s degree in Social Work. She is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Sheena worked for several years within post-secondary institutions providing support to youth who were transitioning into post-secondary education for the first time. Other work experience includes working within the school system with children with high behavioral needs, providing crisis services over the phone for Pathstones Mental Health, and currently as a social worker at Niagara Children’s Centre.

Her many years of hands-on experience living and working in the Niagara area has given her the knowledge of resources that could help support children and families.
